Have your say: MRC Business Needs Survey

Murray River Council is calling on local businesses to have their say, with the 2026 Business Needs Survey now open.

The survey aims to better understand the current business environment and identify future opportunities across the region.

Businesses located within the Murray River Council area are encouraged to share their insights, with feedback set to play a key role in shaping future economic development initiatives, informing advocacy to State and Federal Government, and ensuring Council's policies, programs and services align with the needs of the local business community.

Mayor, Cr John Harvie said the survey is an important opportunity for businesses to help shape Council's future economic development activities.

"Local businesses are the backbone of our economy, and their insights are critical in helping us understand both the challenges and opportunities across our region."

"This survey will provide valuable information that will allow Council to take targeted action to support growth, attract investment and strengthen economic resilience in our communities."

The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and all responses will contribute to building a clearer picture of the region's economic landscape.

As a thank you for participating, businesses will go in the draw to win a Media & Digital Growth Package valued at over $1,000, including a professional videography and photography package, along with a digital audit covering online presence, Google optimisation, AI tools, social media channels and website performance.

Cr Harvie encouraged all local businesses to take part.

"We know business owners are busy, but this is a small investment of time that can have a big impact on future initiatives and support," he said.

"We encourage all businesses, large and small, to have their say."

Businesses can complete the survey online at: yoursay.murrayriver.nsw.gov.au until May 31.
