Spring Pass Clearing Update #3
Sonora Pass (State Route 108)

Tuolumne County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is pleased to announce that today our District 10 Long Barn maintenance crew were able to reach the summit of Sonora Pass with their State Route 108 snow removal operations.

Caltrans has continued to make good progress clearing Sonora Pass this season as maintenance crews push towards the seasonal reopening of State Route 108 in the coming weeks. The District 10 Long Barn Maintenance crew will continue pass clearing operations over the summit until meeting the Caltrans District 9 Sonora Junction maintenance crew.

Sonora Pass remains closed to eastbound traffic at Kennedy Meadows, and while Caltrans cannot specify the exact date State Route 108 will formally reopen to traffic for the season, we will however be providing weekly pass clearing updates.
