Work will impact South Main Street at E.H. Crump
MLGW will be venting natural gas into the air until further notice at the intersection of E.H. Crump and South Main Street.
MLGW crews will be monitoring the ventilation process 24 hours a day. There is no danger to the public.
The public in the surrounding area may smell mercaptan in the air. Mercaptan is the chemical odorant that MLGW adds to natural gas to give it the rotten egg/sulfur smell so it can be easily detected.
