Congressman Morgan McGarvey Votes to Terminate Trump's Tariffs on Canada

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 11, 2026) - Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey released the following statement on his vote in support of HJ Res 72 to terminate Trump's tariffs on Canada:

"Trump swore other countries would foot the bill for his 'America first' trade war, but Kentucky families paid the price when prices skyrocketed.

"And after the president picked a fight with our largest trading partner, Kentucky families paid for it again when our signature bourbon got wiped clean off Canadian shelves.

"Kentuckians are done picking up the check for this President's petty grievances, and we will no longer be pawns in this White House's trade war."
