The Attorney General's Office announced that Amber Mason, 34, of Bennington, Vermont, was sentenced today in Vermont Superior Court, Bennington Criminal Division, after pleading guilty to one felony charge of Promoting a Recording of Sexual Conduct with a Child.
The Court, Judge John Valente presiding, sentenced Ms. Mason to 18 months to five years, all suspended, followed by 10 years of probation. As conditions of her probation, Ms. Mason is required to complete sex offender treatment, have no contact with children under the age of 16, and comply with restrictions on her access to electronic devices.
If Ms. Mason violates the conditions of her probation, she faces up to 10 years in prison. Ms. Mason is also required to register as a sex offender for 10 years after the completion of the 10-year term of probation.
