Tenable® Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TENB), the exposure management company, today announced that H₂O Retailing Corporation has successfully deployed the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform across its diverse multi-cloud infrastructure. The implementation provides the group with unified visibility, risk-based prioritization, and accelerated response times using AI capabilities to objectively assess which vulnerabilities pose the highest real-world exploitation risk.
H₂O Retailing is a leading retail group in Japan's Kansai region. In addition to Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, the group also operates a wide range of food retail brands such as Izumiya, Hankyu Oasis, and Kansai Super as well as commercial facilities.
As the group advanced its digital transformation initiatives to modernize customers' retail experiences, its IT infrastructure grew increasingly complex, making it difficult and costly to maintain real-time visibility of risks. H₂O Retailing was relying on annual, outsourced vulnerability assessments more focused on its public facing systems such as its portal. With the rapidly changing threat landscape, it became necessary for the group to manage risk across all its assets.
Explained Yuji Kumasaka, Manager of the Information Security Promotion Department at H₂O Retailing Corporation, "We were looking for a solution that supported external attack surface management, web application security, and IaaS security configuration. Our prerequisite was that these had to be managed within a single, integrated platform, rather than across separate tools. We chose Tenable One because it allows us to visualize these areas through a single platform, eradicating management silos."
Today, H₂O Retailing's cybersecurity teams can easily view assets and cyber exposure through a single platform to understand their risk and prioritize remediation efforts, thanks to Tenable One's AI-powered capabilities. Rather than relying on point-in-time assessments, the group has established a continuous monitoring framework that allows changes to be tracked over time. Clear security scores are also empowering individual business units to transition to self-managed, proactive security governance. Importantly, the group achieved significant cost optimization from reduced outsourcing expenses and the move away from manual data collection.
"Retail runs on trust, which depends entirely on safeguarding customer data and maintaining uptime," said Naoya Kishima, country manager, Tenable Japan. "H₂O Retailing chose Tenable One to deliver AI-driven exposure management across its hybrid infrastructure, protecting the business against evolving threats."
