Recognition highlights leadership in pharmacy innovation, operational excellence, and expanding access to care across the nation's largest public health system

NYC Health + Hospitals announced that Danielle DiBari, Senior Vice President of Business Operations, Chief Pharmacy Officer and Chief Procurement Officer, has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's "101 Hospital and Health System Chief Pharmacy Officers to Know" list for 2026. The annual recognition honors pharmacy leaders who are advancing patient safety, strengthening medication access, improving operational efficiency, and shaping the future of pharmacy practice across the country.
Danielle DiBari is the only executive nationally to simultaneously serve as Senior Vice President of Business Operations, Chief Pharmacy Officer, and Chief Procurement Officer within a single health system. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, she leads and aligns business operations, pharmacy, and supply chain strategy to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient care across the nation's largest public health system.
Under DiBari's leadership, NYC Health + Hospitals has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in savings through strategic procurement negotiations and streamlined operations. Her teams have also created hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenue through the health system's outpatient pharmacy program while expanding access to medications and pharmacy services for patients throughout New York City. In addition to strengthening the organization's financial sustainability, DiBari is leading the implementation of clinically advanced healthcare technologies that support integrated, patient-centered care. Her work demonstrates how operational excellence and innovation can improve both patient outcomes and organizational performance, creating a model for health systems nationwide.
