Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Nov. 10 - 16, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY , Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid - Missouri area Nov. 10 - 16 , 202 5 . Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.

All Counties

In addition to the work listed below, o ther m oving operations such as pothole patching, mowing , and pavement repair s continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow - moving equipment.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Boone County

Route E - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 - 14 just south of Harrisburg . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

U.S. Route 63 - Bridge over I-70 CLOSED overnight Nov. 10 and Nov. 12 for joint repairs. Both nights, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., all U.S. Route 63 traffic will be routed through the I-70/U.S. Route 63 Connector. **

Route E - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue at Primrose Drive in Columbia. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent nighttime single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Route V - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue from North Rudy Street to West Harris Street in Sturgeon. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent nighttime single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Route TT - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue from Yorkshire Drive to Fairview Road in Columbia . Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent nighttime single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Route K and Old Plank Road intersection - Roundabout construction continues. The intersection will be CLOSED . Traffic on West Route K heading east toward Columbia will be detoured north on South Sinclair Road to West Southampton Drive. Traffic on West Route K heading west from Columbia should use East Southampton Drive and South Sinclair Road to reach West Route K. This is a cost- share project between the City of Columbia and MoDOT and is scheduled for completion in December 2025.

U.S. Route 63 - Interchange improvements continue at Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) . Lenoir Street is CLOSED from Grindstone Parkway to the main entrance to Lenoir Woods. This also affects the northernmost entrance to Lenoir Woods. Motorists will need to use an alternative route around the closure. The closure is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

U.S. Route 63 - Bridge rehabilitation continues between Broadway (south of Interstate 70) and Vandiver Drive (north of I-70) in Columbia. The roadway will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through November 2025. **

North Outer Road 70 - CLOS ED for a culvert extension project at Little Cedar Creek, east of Columbia , near mile marker 134.8 on I-70. Motorists need to use an alternate route during the closure, which is expected to continue through February 2026. **

Callaway County

South Outer Road 70 ( Jade Road ) - Pavement repairs planned Nov . 11 - 12 from Route HH to Route DD. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 94 - Bridge maintenance planned Nov. 12 - 14 over Eagle Creek. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

South Outer Road 70 (Jade Road) and North Outer Road 70 (Old U.S. Route 40) - CLOSED for a c ulvert replacement project at Sallees Creek , west of Kingdom City . Motorists need to use an alternate route during the closure s , which are expected to continue through February 2026. **

I-70 - New pavement construction continues from the Route M (near mile marker 1 44 ) to Kingdom City (near mile marker 14 8 ) as part of the Improve I-70 Program.Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project, which has an overall completion date in 2027. **

Camden County

U.S. Route 54 - Pavement widening continues from Business Route 5 to Bumper Hill Road . O ne lane in each direction will remain open . However, traffic is shifted, eliminating the center turn lane. This phase of the project is scheduled for completion in s pring 2026 .

Cole County

U.S. Route 50 (Whitton Expressway) - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue at the intersections with Broadway Street, Jefferson Street, Madison Street, and Monroe Street. The right turn lanes from Broadway Street, Jefferson Street and Monroe Street onto westbound U.S. Route 50 and the westbound U.S. Route 50 right turn lane s to Monroe Street and Broadway Street may be closed between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday , when crews are working at each location . The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

U.S. Route 54 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over Neighorn Branch, south of Jefferson City. Traffic is narrowed to one lane in each direction in a head-to-head configuration for the duration of project. A 14-foot width restriction and speed reductions as low as 45 mph are in place through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Associated access restrictions through November 2025:

  • No access from eastbound U.S. Route 54 to Route CC.
  • No access from Route CC to either direction of U.S. Route 54.
  • Shepherd Hills Road/Wooded Hills Lane intersection:
  • No access to or from westbound U.S. Route 54 at Shepherd Hills Road.
  • No access to or from eastbound U.S. Route 54 at Wooded Hills Lane.

Cooper County

Missouri Route 98 - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route OO - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 11. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Crawford County

Missouri Route 8 - Culvert replacement planned Nov . 10 - 14 from Route T to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone .

Route 8 - Pavement repairs planned Nov . 10 - 14 from Route T to Long Springs Road . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 49 - Roadside work planned Nov. 10 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route M - Culvert replacement planned Nov . 10 - 14 from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I - 44 - Shoulder work planned Nov. 11 - 13 from mile marker 218 to 219 , eastbound only . Work is being done by Environmental Restoration , LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.

Route J - Bridge replacement continues over B oone Creek . The bridge is CLOSED with a signed detour in place to direct motorist s around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Dent County

Routes 19, B, K, and N - Culvert replacements planned Nov. 10 - 13. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Gasconade County

U.S. Route 50 - Diamond grinding scheduled Nov. 10 - 14 from Rosebud to the city limits of Linn.

Howard County

Missouri Route 240 - Shoulder work planned Nov . 12 - 14 from Route W to County Road 419. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route s JJ and T - Roadside work planned Nov . 12 - 14 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Laclede County

Route AA - CLOSED in various locations for culvert replacement s Nov. 10 - 14, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.

Route W - Roadside work planned Nov. 10 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Maries County

Route T - Roadside work planned Nov . 10 - 14 from Route JJ to County Road 214 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route AA - Bridge replacement continues over the Little Maries River. The bridge is CLOSED with a signed detour in place to direct motorist around the closure . The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Mo niteau Count y

Route F - Culvert replacement planned Nov . 10 - 14 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route C - Roadside work planned Nov. 10 - 14 from Route CC to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route O - Shoulder work planned Nov. 10 - 14 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 87 and Route C intersection - Roundabout construction continues . The intersection will remain open but is narrowed to one lane with temporary signals directing traffic through the work zone . Motorists should expect delays. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Morgan County

Missouri Route 135 - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 - 14 from Rattle Snake Road to Route M . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route C - Roadside work planned Nov. 10 - 14 from Route 52 to Route CC in Moniteau County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 52 - Roundabout construction continues in Versailles at the intersection of Route 52 and Missouri Route 5. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Osage County

U.S. Route 50 - Diamond grinding scheduled Nov. 10 - 14 from Linn to the city limits of Rosebud .

Route C - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Phelps Count y

I-44 - D iamond grinding scheduled Nov . 10 - 14 at the westbound exit ramp E xit 186 (North Bishop Avenue) . The ramp will remain open but narrowed to one lane .

Route T - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 - 14 from I-44 to Route P. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 8 - Pavement striping planned Nov. 10 - 21 from St . James to the city limits of Potosi in Washington County. One lane will remain open through the work zone.

U.S. Route 63 - Shoulder work planned Nov. 11 - 14 at County Road 6050. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route T - Culvert replacement planned Nov . 12 - 14 from County Road 7460 to County Road 7400. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route D - Bridge rehabilitation continues over I-44, approximately 7 miles southwest of Doolittle. The bridge is CLOSED , with a signed detour in place.

Missouri Route 72 - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue on Route 72 in Rolla . Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone . The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Pulaski County

Missouri Route 7 - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue in Richland at Route A. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Missouri Route 28 - Pedestrian facility upgrades continue from East A Street to Chestnut Street in Dixon. Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in Novem ber 2025.

Washington Cou nt y

Route M - Culvert replacement planned Nov. 10 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route Y - Pavement repairs planned Nov . 10 - 14 . One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 8 - Pavement striping planned Nov. 10 - 21 from Potosi to the city limits of St. James in Phelps County. One lane will remain open through the work zone.

Route 8 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over the Union Pacific Railroad. The roadway will remain open throughout the project but is narrowed to one lane. Motorists s hould expect delays.

Missouri Route 47 - Bridge replacement continues over Mill Creek. The bridge is CLOSED with a signed detour in place to direct motorists around the closure. This project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.
