Since launching in 2021, The Owens & Minor Foundation has focused on bringing Owens & Minor's Purpose, Mission and IDEAL Values to life in the communities in which we operate. In 2024, The Foundation continued to deliver on that unwavering dedication by engaging with our philanthropic partners and teammates to further contribute in the areas of healthcare, environmental sustainability and inclusion. Highlights of The Foundation's efforts in 2024 include:
Building healthier communities is central to The Foundation's mission. To support this goal, the Foundation worked with a variety of organizations to promote healthcare accessibility and belonging across the industry.
This year, The Foundation continued working with organizations at the forefront of restoring and safeguarding vital waterways, with direct participation and/or support for initiatives including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, James River Association, Friends of the Mississippi River, FRIENDS of Great Salt Lake, Los Angeles Waterkeeper and Save the Sound.
The Foundation places a strong emphasis on empowering teammates to actively participate in hands-on activities that have a direct impact on the communities where we live and work. In 2024, Owens & Minor teammates volunteered more than 200 hours at Ronald McDonald Chapter Houses across the country and dedicated 124 hours to working with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to move 30 tons of sand, helping to protect the Hampton Bay shoreline.
