Rep. Workman Applauds Funding for NEOMED Dental Program

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) is pleased to announce that the Northeast Ohio Medical University Foundation was recently awarded a $55,802 grant from the Delta Dental Foundation.

The grant will be used to purchase a microscope to launch the Bitonte College of Dentistry Endodontic Program. The goal of the program will be to strengthen Ohio's dental workforce by training more endodontists. The onsite dental clinic will open to the public in summer 2027.

"This investment in NEOMED is an investment in the future of healthcare in Northeast Ohio," said Workman. "By expanding opportunities to train highly skilled endodontists right here in our region, this grant will help strengthen Ohio's dental workforce while increasing access to quality oral healthcare for our communities. I congratulate NEOMED on this well-deserved award and look forward to seeing the positive impact this new program will have for years to come."

The Delta Dental Foundation awarded grants to Ohio organizations working to expand access to dental care, strengthen Ohio's oral health workforce, and support community-based prevention efforts across the state.
