LAS 35483 Eric Pyne dba Lake Creek Exploration Land Use Permit for Coldfoot Storage Area

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:APPLICANT: Eric Pyne dba Lake Creek ExplorationPROJECT NAME: LAS 35483GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The proposed site is located approximately 2,000 feet east of milepost 175 off the Dalton Highway on the RST 9 Coldfoot-Chandalar Lake Trail.LEGAL DESCRIPTION:Section 15 of Township 28 North, Range 12 West, Fairbanks MeridianREQUESTED ACTIVITY:The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) has received a Land Use Permit (LUP) application from Eric Pyne dba Lake Creek Exploration for a temporary storage area near Coldfoot Camp. The temporary storage would include mining equipment and supplies, two 40' van trailers for secure storage and living quarters, a single pit privy, and temporary parking for vehicles. Up to 50 gallons of gasoline and 50 gallons of heating oil would be stored inside the van trailers. Equipment storage would support Mr. Pyne's mining activities on Myrtle creek, under APMA 6650.REQUESTED TERM: 5 yearsDEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: 10/30/2025ENCLOSED DOCUMENTS: Application, and Site DiagramThe public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on the date noted above.
