BERLIN-Stripe today shared new tools to help businesses in Germany sell to and via AI agents, and reach more markets around the world. Stripe works with half of the DAX40-including BMW, E.ON, Allianz, and SAP-and over three hundred thousand other German businesses, from large family enterprises like Viessmann to tech leaders like DeepL, N26, and Black Forest Labs.
Enabling online commerce in the AI era
Stripe announced that, beginning later this year, businesses in Germany will be able to sell to customers inside AI interfaces with the Agentic Commerce Suite, which makes products discoverable and purchasable from inside AI interfaces through a single integration. Businesses with entities in the US can already sell to customers in the US via platforms including Gemini and Copilot.
AI companies in Germany can now meter token consumption and charge customers for their exact usage in real time with Metronome, integrated into Stripe Billing. And Stripe Radar, which blocked over €2 billion in fraudulent volume for German merchants last year, now defends against token theft, with protection against multi-account abuse, free trial fraud, and pay-as-you-go abuse.
New export tools for German businesses
Stripe Managed Payments is now generally available, supporting businesses in Germany to expand into 195 markets without setting up local entities. Stripe acts as the merchant of record, handling local tax, compliance, and payment infrastructure.
For companies selling across different currencies, Adaptive Pricing automatically localises prices at checkout, and is now available for businesses accepting recurring payments. Businesses using Adaptive Pricing have seen revenue from international markets increase by an average of 17.8%.
Powering Germany's small and medium-sized businesses with software platforms
More than one million SMBs in Germany use Stripe via software platforms like Jimdo and allO. Today Stripe shared three new tools to help platforms offer financial services directly to these businesses:
Treasury for Platforms: Platforms can now provide SMBs with a business account that lets them hold, convert, and move money across currencies with instant transfers, and easily make payments across 160 countries.
Capital for Platforms: Platforms can lend money to their SMB customers.
Platform growth studio: Platforms on Stripe now get personalised growth recommendations benchmarked against thousands of other platforms building on Stripe.
Stripe's country lead in Germany Thomas Cser said: "The most ambitious businesses in Germany need infrastructure that keeps up: tools to export to more markets faster, and a way into the AI economy before the window narrows."
These updates were shared at Stripe Tour Berlin, the company's annual internet economy conference in Germany.
