FPSC to Hold Special Commission Conference on FCG Depreciation Petition
The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold a Special Commission Conference on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, following Internal Affairs, to consider Florida City Gas' (FCG) petition seeking approval of its 2025 Depreciation Study and Reserve Imbalance.
FCG, which provides natural gas service to approximately 116,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Miami-Dade, Broward, St. Lucie, Indian River, Brevard, Palm Beach, Hendry, and Martin Counties, filed its petition on February 24, 2025.
The petition asks the Commission to review updated depreciation parameters and rates based on FCG's 2025 Depreciation Study and to determine whether amortization of the Company's calculated reserve imbalance is appropriate.
A technical hearing was held on December 11, 2025, during which parties presented testimony, evidence, and were subject to cross-examination. The February 17 Special Commission Conference will allow Commissioners to deliberate and vote on the issues identified in the petition and addressed in staff's recommendation.
