Edinburg Fire Department Recognized for Excellence at Texas Fire Marshal Association Meeting

Edinburg, TX- The Edinburg Fire Department received statewide recognition for its exceptional contributions to fire prevention at the Texas Fire Marshal Association meeting.

Several department members were honored for their professionalism and dedication:

  • Lt. Frankie Joe Salinas - Jack Sneed Award for outstanding professionalism

  • Lt. Homero Garza - Roscoe Gibson Award for upholding the highest standards in fire prevention

  • Chief Omar Garza - Dan Mayes Life Membership Award, one of only 32 awarded since 1977, recognizing extraordinary service within the Texas Fire Marshal community
