The Iowa City Senior Center (ICSCI) will host free monthly vital checks in partnership with the University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital, a venture with Encompass Health.
The drop-in service will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m. on the first Monday of each month, beginning Monday, June 1, in Room 103 at the ICSC.
Community members may stop by for a quick assessment of blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, also known as SpO₂. Results will be reviewed immediately, and staff will be available to answer questions and help participants track changes over time.
Regular vital checks can be one simple way to stay proactive about health and wellness. While the service does not replace medical care, it can help participants become more aware of their numbers, notice changes, and follow up with a healthcare provider when needed.
No appointment is required. The program is free and open to the community.
