On behalf of the U.S. government, I extend warm wishes to Cabo Verde on its momentous 51st year of independence.
We mark this special occasion to reaffirm our shared values of democracy, economic prosperity, and maritime security. Cabo Verde stands as a model of good governance and economic progress. I send my best wishes to the people of Cabo Verde and congratulate them on the relaunch of direct flights between our two countries. We look forward to what we can accomplish together in the future.
