BMI Hosts Two Speed Dating for Songwriters® Sessions at MusicPro 26

On March 29, BMI's L.A. office hosted two BMI Speed Dating for Songwriters® sessions at MusicPro 26, held at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. During the sessions, BMI executives David Streit and Tracie Verlinde guided 22 emerging songwriters, artists, and producers as they networked, shared their music, received feedback, and formed new co-writing collaborations.

"Networking and collaborating are so crucially important to career growth in the music industry today," said Streit. "We've seen the right collaborations allow songwriters to expand their creative opportunities and significantly grow their fanbases through cross-promotion with other artists. So, we were absolutely thrilled to host Speed Dating for Songwriters® at MusicPro26, which gave the participants the opportunity to forge several meaningful connections in a relatively short amount of time."

Originally developed by BMI's NYC Creative team, Speed Dating for Songwriters® has since expanded to other BMI offices, including Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, London, Nashville and Miami. Songwriters and artists such as FLETCHER, Loud Luxury, Morgan St. Jean, DAVIE, and CKay, among many others, are veterans of the series.
