NMMA’s Engineering Compliance Seminar heads to Knoxville in December, Registration Open

Manufacturers planning for the 2028 model year have a date to save. NMMA's annual Engineering Compliance Seminar returns Dec. 8-10 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee.

Hosted by the NMMA Certification team, the three-day seminar brings together manufacturers, engineers, inspectors and compliance staff to dig into the standards and regulations that shape how boats are built. It's also one of the few times each year to sit down in person with NMMA's engineering and certification experts and get answers to the questions that come up on the production floor.
This year's program will cover:
  • New and revised American Boat & Yacht Council standards
  • Regulatory updates from the U.S. Coast Guard, ABYC, Transport Canada and the European CE program
  • The most common compliance failures and inspection findings, and how to avoid them
  • Strategies to reduce liability exposure and warranty risk
  • Upcoming regulatory and environmental initiatives
Registration is $1,000 for NMMA members and $1,250 for nonmembers. Register here. The full agenda will be posted on the seminar page once it's final.
Attendees can reserve a room at NMMA's group rate through Nov. 7. The Crowne Plaza is at 401 W. Summit Hill Drive and can be reached at 865-522-2600.

Questions about the seminar or engineering standards can go to Lucyna Koscielniak, NMMA senior certification coordinator, at [email protected]
