Nhon Trach 3&4: A Benchmark for Vietnam's Energy Future. In Vietnam, the 1.6 GW Nhon Trach 3&4 Power Plant-equipped with GE Vernova's advanced combined-cycle 9HA.02 gas turbines-was honored with the Plant of the Year Award and the Top Gas Plant Award. Owned and operated by PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power), the facility is Vietnam's first LNG-fired power plant. Achieving over 63% combined-cycle efficiency, the plant plays a cornerstone role in Vietnam's Adjusted Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8) by providing the reliable, flexible capacity needed to integrate more renewables into the grid.
Dominion Energy Parr Station: Writing the Next Chapter in a Century of Reinvention Dominion Energy's Parr Station modernization has been honored with the prestigious POWER Magazine Reinvention Award, celebrating the transformation of a site with over 100 years of energy history into a high-performance, flexible power asset. By deploying GE Vernova's LM6000VELOX* package solution, the project delivers the fast-start capability, black start support, and operational flexibility necessary to manage the variability of modern renewable resources. This modernization at Parr Station In South Carolina, successfully bridges a century of service with the demands of a sustainable energy future, providing the grid with the reliable, agile power it needs to evolve.
