Hobby/Interest?

Painting and drawing, politics, gardening, and traveling.

What you are looking forward to in 1L year?

I am most looking forward to cultivating and honing my legal research and writing skills. I believe that the cornerstone to fulfilment of curiosity both personally and intellectually is knowing where to look and how to properly articulate your findings. To me, legal research and writing is the foundation for a lifetime of discovery.

Why W&L Law?

My decision to attend Washington and Lee School of Law was shaped largely by my experience at a large state university, where my graduating class exceeded 7,000 students and the total enrollment surpassed 38,000. When selecting a law school, I intentionally sought a more intimate academic environment-one that fostered close-knit relationships both professionally and personally. During my visit to W&L Law, I immediately sensed that this was a place where I could thrive academically while also contributing to my classmates' growth. My experience thus far has affirmed that W&L Law supports individuality while fostering a strong sense of community-a place where we are encouraged to succeed not only as individuals, but as a team.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

After graduating from undergrad, I backpacked solo through Europe and the UK for a month. I visited 9 cities in 7 countries, and the food was great! To date, I've visited 3 continents and hope to visit 6 someday. I have trepidations of Antarctica.

Something you hope to continue to pursue in law school that brings you joy?

Strength training, swimming, and gardening.

Something unique about you?

I have a massive sweet tooth. Whether it's studying for finals or just winding down after a long day, there's always some kind of candy, cookie, or pastry involved. It's my favorite (and most delicious) form of stress relief.
