Congresswoman Randall Issues Statement on Bear Gulch and Toonerville Fires

BREMERTON, WA - Congresswoman Emily Randall released the following statement on the Bear Gulch and Toonerville Fires:
"I'm deeply concerned about the Bear Gulch and Toonerville fires currently burning in Olympic National Park and Mason County." Says Congresswoman Randall. "These fires are a serious threat to one of our most cherished natural spaces, and I'm incredibly grateful to our first responders for their work through the night to stop the spread further.
"The Bear Gulch fire is largely contained, and firefighters continue working relentlessly to extinguish it.
"Nearby, the Toonerville fire is much bigger and not contained. The fire has expanded toward Belfair and level 3 "Go Now" evacuation orders are in effect for residents along Northeast Toonerville Drive in Belfair, Mason County.
"I strongly urge everyone to stay informed through local alerts. Our priority right now must be protecting lives, enabling emergency responders to do their work without hindrance, and preserving the safety of our communities and treasured public lands."
