MCSO Deputies respond to Macomb Twp crash

Macomb Township, MI - Today, December 19, 2024, at approximately 2:38PM, Macomb County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to Hall Road near Heydenreich Road in Macomb Township for a multiple vehicle crash.

A white Chevy Bolt was traveling west at a high rate of speed on the righthand shoulder/grass along Hall Road. A teal Ford Taurus sedan was turning right into the business complex near the intersection of Hall Road and Heydenreich Road when the Chevy Bolt struck the passenger side of Taurus. The momentum of the crash forced the Taurus into a white SUV.

The driver of the Taurus, a 55-year-old male from Macomb Township, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Volt, a 37-year-old male from Shelby Township, was transporting an Uber passenger. Both the driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was uninjured.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The MCSO investigation is ongoing.
