"Meeting with Thai Exporters at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 in New York"
On 29 June 2026, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York and Mr. Thanakrit Luangasanathip, Director of the Thai Trade Center in New York, accompanied by officials from the Royal Thai Consulate General and the Thai Trade Center, visited and met with Thai entrepreneurs and exporters participating in the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026, organized by the Specialty Food Association at the Javits Center in New York City.
The Summer Fancy Food Show is one of the leading food and beverage trade show in the United States and is held annually. The event brings together food businesses from around the world to showcase their products and engage with importers to expand their presence in the U.S. market. This year, 13 Thai companies participated in the event, showcasing a wide range of Thai products, including seasoning sauces, curry pastes, rice and rice noodles, dried fruits, coconut water, and snacks. The Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, also participated in the event to promote Thai rice under the "Think Rice, Think Thailand" campaign, aiming to increase awareness of various Thai rice varieties among international rice importers and expand export opportunities.
The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York extends its appreciation to the Ministry of Commerce for its continued support in enabling Thai businesses to participate in the Summer Fancy Food Show, thereby helping expand market opportunities and promote the popularity of Thai products in the United States. The trade fair also provides Thai entrepreneurs with valuable insights into evolving market trends and consumer preferences, while offering opportunities to exchange knowledge on food products and business practices with international participants. These experiences help strengthen the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs and foster valuable connections and networks within the global food industry.
