The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man in a robbery that occurred in Northwest.

On Friday, January 10, 2025, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, in reference to a robbery. The victim stated that he was inside an establishment when the suspect asked the victim for money. When the victim refused, the suspect assaulted him, took the victim's property, and fled the scene. The victim was transported by DC Fire and EMS to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers were given a description of the suspect. On the morning of Saturday, January 11, 2025, the suspect was located by officers and placed under arrest. 31-year-old Jerson Flores of no fixed address, was charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).
