Homicide Investigation Underway in Hazelwood Neighborhood

A homicide investigation is underway in the Hazelwood Neighborhood.

On Monday, June 2, 2026, at 4:07 a.m., a Portland Police officer spotted an adult male laying on the ground at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Pine Street.
While attempting medical aid medical personnel pronounced the male deceased with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Detectives with the Portland Police Homicide Unit are responding to investigate.
During the investigation Southeast 122nd Avenue will be shut down between East Burnside Street and Southeast Ash Street.
