Wilmington, Del. - The City of Wilmington is inviting residents and performers to take the stage and showcase their talents during two upcoming Open Mic Nights at The Queen.
Events aim to highlight the creativity and artistic talent found throughout Wilmington while bringing the community together for two evenings of live entertainment and friendly competition.
The events will take place on Thursday, April 23, and Friday, May 8, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and performances beginning at 7:00 p.m. Each evening will feature a lineup of local Wilmington talent performing for a live audience.
Performers interested in participating are encouraged to submit a 30-60 second video clip of their talent for consideration. Submissions should be emailed to Ashley Christopher at [email protected] and must be received byFriday, April 3, 2026. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
Residents interested in participating should include their preferred contact information when submitting their talent clip.
Selected performers will be notified by Friday, April 10, to confirm participation. Confirmed participants will be scheduled to perform on either April 23 or May 8, with each act allotted up to five minutes on stage.
Each Open Mic Night will feature up to 15 performers, including an intermission. At the conclusion of each event, a panel of three judges will evaluate performances based on a set of criteria shared with participants.
Prizes will be awarded to the top two performers each night:
- First Place: $1,000
- Second Place: $500
