Meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met in Milan today with the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.

The meeting confirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations and the solidity of the partnership between Rome and Warsaw. Economic and commercial cooperation was discussed in depth, and the prospects for further strengthening defence industry collaboration were also explored.

There was a significant focus on the main international issues, with particular regard to the shared commitment to support the path towards a just and lasting peace for Ukraine. The two leaders also stressed the strategic importance of consolidating the transatlantic relationship, a fundamental pillar of stability and security in the context of today's global challenges.
