Venicemarathon: the Trofeo Porti del Veneto is back

To mark the 40th edition of the Venicemarathon, taking place on 25 October, the partnership between the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority and the event organisers is being renewed. This collaboration brings together sport, the port community and the local area, and has been a defining feature since the Authority was established.

Among the confirmed events is the Trofeo Porti del Veneto, a competition for members of the port community held as part of the 10K race. The initiative brings together a diverse team of port operators and institutional representatives, reflecting the involvement of the many organisations and individuals who contribute to the day-to-day life of the ports of Venice and Chioggia, as well as their shared sense of belonging to the port community.

The Trofeo Porti del Veneto is a true "race within a race": an opportunity to enjoy a day of sport and collaboration alongside family members and supporters. The event also has a charitable dimension, as the winners can nominate a local organisation to receive a donation from the Authority.

The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority's involvement in the Venicemarathon also includes coordinating the technical and safety arrangements required for the race to pass through the relevant state-owned port areas. This work is carried out in cooperation with the various parties involved, ensuring that the needs of the race are balanced with those of the city and of the people who live in and use the areas along the route every day, from roads and quays to the urban waterfront.
