Stolen Vehicle – Arrest: C25-86196

On April 24, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a commercial business in the 1000 block of McGregor Street for the report of a stolen vehicle that had recently been stolen from the area.

North District General Patrol officers attended and observed a 2018 Buick Encore leaving the parking lot and head eastbound on Leila Avenue at a high rate of speed.

With the assistance of Air 1, the vehicle was located in front of a residence in the sub 100 block of Gateside Way. A male suspect was located and arrested a short time later in the near vicinity without incident. Upon arrest, the suspect provided officers with a false name.

A 33-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Identity Fraud - Intent to Gain Advantage
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 4

He was detained in custody.
