Gilbert Invites Community to Explore Heritage District's Future at April 18 Open House

Gilbert, Ariz. - Curious about what's coming to downtown Gilbert? Come see for yourself. The Town of Gilbert is hosting the Digging the District Open House on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the University Building (92 W. Vaughn Ave.) in the Assembly Room.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Gilbert project teams to discuss capital improvement initiatives planned for the Heritage District, view renderings, and learn more about what's coming soon. Updates on private developments, including Heritage Park, O.H.S.O. Duckpin Bowling, and South Anchor, will be shared by Gilbert's economic development staff.

The open house will provide construction timelines, project updates, and the chance to ask questions about the Heritage District planning process.

As part of the fun, guests 18 and older are invited to pick up a Digging the District Project Passport at the event entry and visit each information station. Turn in a completed passport for a limited-edition State48 Heritage District t-shirt, available while supplies last, one per person. Additional Gilbert promotional items will be available for younger attendees.

The open house is part of the broader Digging the District public awareness campaign, which is also expanding with new signage throughout downtown Gilbert. The campaign's website, DiggingTheDistrict.com, serves as an ongoing resource for residents and visitors, featuring project updates, Heritage District events, parking information, construction access, road closures, and traffic impacts.
