Charlotte County News Release - Punta Gorda Ranks No. 2 Nationally for Talent Attraction
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 30, 2026) - The Punta Gorda metropolitan statistical area ranked No. 2 nationally among U.S. mid-sized metro areas for talent attraction in Lightcast's 2026 Talent Attraction Scorecard, rising from No. 5 in 2025. Lightcast released the scorecard Oct. 26. Florida metro areas took the top three positions.
The scorecard compares metropolitan areas with populations of 100,000 to 250,000. Employers exploring Charlotte County can find local hiring resources and information about regional training programs through Careers on the Coast.
