Notice of Unscheduled Vacancy

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to California Government Code ยง54974, that an unscheduled vacancy exists on the Traffic Commission due to the resignation of Seimone Jurjis. The unexpired term ends on June 30, 2027. The successful appointee will be required to file a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office. In addition, AB1234 Ethics Education and AB1661 Sexual Harassment Avoidance Training certificates are required.

The Traffic Commission reviews traffic matters and transportation planning, requests for speed limit increases or decreases, complaints concerning traffic safety conditions, and other general duties as set forth in Chapter 10.06 of the Orange Municipal Code.

Qualifications: Applicants must reside in the City of Orange.

Meetings: The Traffic Commission meets on the second Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.

Application Deadline: Open until filled. In accordance with Govt. Code 54974, final appointment to the board shall not be made by the City Council for at least 10 business days after the posting of this notice.
