His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a congratulatory message to Antonio José Seguro following his election to the Republic of Portugal's highest office.
In this message, HM the King expresses to the new Portuguese President His congratulations and His best wishes of success in the exercise of his high office.
HM the King takes this opportunity to commend the historic and human depth of the privileged ties of friendship and good neighborliness between Morocco and Portugal, which pave the way for more ambitious cooperation prospects, reiterating the importance that the Sovereign grants to the strengthening of these ties.
HM the King also expresses His determination to work together with the Portuguese President to bolster joint action between the two countries for a deepened multidimensional partnership that serves the two peoples and the Euro-Mediterranean space.
