Update: Rural route resurfacing to begin Sept. 8 in Nodaway County…

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Above & Below Contracting, LLC for a resurfacing project in Nodaway, Andrew and Holt counties. The project was originally scheduled to begin Thursday, Sept. 4, but was delayed due to contractor scheduling. The contractor's updated schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 8 - Nodaway County Route JJ.
  • Sept. 11 - Nodaway County Route AB.
  • Sept. 14 - Holt County Route C.
  • Sept. 21 - Nodaway/Andrew counties Route Y.
  • Sept. 29 - Nodaway County Route WW.
  • Oct. 2 - Nodaway/Andrew counties Route N.
  • Oct. 8 - Nodaway County Route NN.
  • Oct. 15 - Nodaway County Route AH.

Traffic Impacts: During resurfacing, each route may be closed in up to 2-mile sections. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the closures.

All routes are anticipated to be complete by November 2025.

All work is weather permitting and could be rescheduled. Project schedule updates will be provided on the Traveler Information Map (http://traveler.modot.org/map/) and on the Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri press release sent out each Friday afternoon.
