Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2027

Please note: These funds are not available as direct assistance to individuals or households, and this notice is not related to the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program.

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) will be accepting funding applications from eligible applicants for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), County Fund for Housing (CFH), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), and Low- and Moderate-Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF). CDBG funds may be used for eligible capital projects, affordable housing, fair housing, and economic development activities. HOME funds may be used for affordable housing projects, including permanent supportive housing, and tenant-based rental assistance. ESG and LMIHAF funds may be used for rapid rehousing and homelessness related supportive services, including homelessness prevention and outreach. CFH funds may be used for affordable rental and/or ownership housing as well as transitional and emergency housing.

These funds are available to eligible nonprofit organizations and governmental jurisdictions to support programs and activities that benefit lower-income households. All interested applicants are required to attend a mandatory technical assistance workshop or meet with Commission staff to be eligible to apply.
