North Dakota Information Technology Responds to Nationwide PowerSchool Data Breach with Enhanced Security Measures

BISMARCK, N.D. - PowerSchool has identified a nationwide breach involving their customer support portal, PowerSource. PowerSchool has assured North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) that the incident has been contained, and they are working closely with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to address the situation.

In response to the nationwide PowerSchool incident, North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) has put in place additional security measures and are continuing to assess the impact to North Dakota PowerSchool users. NDIT is collaborating with PowerSchool and districts to assess the scope of the incident and provide assistance.

NDIT encourages PowerSchool users in North Dakota to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available on the NDIT-EduTech website, https://www.edutech.nd.gov.
