Subject to AS 38.95.080, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: DAVID HUMPHREY

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:

Three locations in Southwest Alaska; west of Wood-Titchik State Park and east of Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge

Site 1: Near the northeastern bank of Kisaralik Lake

Site 2: Between two ponds along Akoswift Creek

Site 3: Between Milk Creek and Cascade Lake

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Site 1: Section 26, Township 3 North, Range 58 West, Seward Meridian

at 60.3264N, -159.2950W

Site 2: Section 21, Township 2 North, Range 60 West, Seward Meridian

at 60.2520N, -159.7207W

Site 3: Section 29, Township 1 North, Range 58 West, Seward Meridian

at 60.1549N, -159.4036W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant, David Humphrey, has requested a 10-year Trapping Cabin Permit for the construction and use of three trapping cabins along their established trapline, to be used in conjunction with seasonal trapping activities (November-March).

Site 1 near Kisaralik Lake: up to 400 square feet

Site 2 near Akoswift Creek: up to 192 square feet

Site 3 near Cascade Lake: up to 192 square feet

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: July 1, 2026
End: June 30, 2036

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: June 9, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
