Dover - After launching a statewide Rent Reporting Pilot Program in January 2023, the Delaware State Housing Authority is set to release the report, summarizing the promising results.
This pilot program was conceived by Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay, who during her tenure as a State Senator helped DSHA secure $200,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to conduct the program.
DSHA led the charge, partnering with nonprofit NeighborGood Partners and Self Financial, Inc. (Self), to design a pilot program to help build low-income tenants' credit by reporting their on-time rent payments to major credit bureaus and offering free financial coaching.
A press conference will be held to showcase the pilot program's structure and key findings.
