AUC Chairperson warmly received by UAE MoFA & Deputy Prime Minister

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, was warmly received in Abu Dhabi by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE. Their wide-ranging discussions focused on strengthening UAE-Africa cooperation in green energy, infrastructure, technology, & trade, with a view to driving sustainable growth.

They also agreed to deepen collaboration on peace & mediation efforts & other contexts that require stabilisation like Somali, under the leadership of the AU.

The Chairperson expressed appreciation to H.E. Al Nahyan for his official invitation & reaffirmed the AU's commitment to advancing a strategic AU-UAE partnership anchored in mutual respect.
