Rep. Angela Moore Receives 2025 Legislator of the Year Award by Diane Daniels Foundation

ATLANTA - State Representative Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest) recently received the 2025 Legislator of the Year Award at the Diane Daniels Foundation's Annual Community Impact Celebration 'Plant A Seed to Read' ceremony on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

"Their vision to create a thriving, equitable future where every individual and community is safe and has access to the resources, opportunities and support needed to reach their fullest potential makes this a perfect partnership not only in the City of Stonecrest but across the world," said Rep. Moore. "This organization strives to envision a world where barriers are removed, weapons are minimized on school properties, small businesses flourish and underserved populations are empowered to drive their own success and create a lasting, generational impact. Their efforts also include awarding the inaugural Allen Rossum Scholarship and the 'Legacy Planting A Seed and Future Lives.' I am deeply honored to receive the Legislator of the Year Award from such an amazing foundation."

The event was attended by community business leaders, dignitaries and other elected officials. Rev. Dr. William E. Flippin, senior pastor of the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church; Allen Rossum of the Atlanta Falcons; Dr. Renee Knorr; Carla Fields of Carla Fields Fitness and many other community leaders, sponsors, volunteers, performers and guests also attended the event.

"This year's Annual Community Impact Celebration stands as a beacon of unity and progress, welcoming residents, leaders, partners and friends to honor the foundation's work, plant seeds of legacy and uplift lives for generations to come," said founder, Dr. Diane Daniels.

The mission of the Diane Daniels Foundation's Annual Community Impact 'Plant A Seed to Read' ceremony is to empower underserved communities by providing resources, education and support with the goal of driving economic growth, fostering innovation and promoting social equity and school safety through targeted programs and partnerships.

Representative Angela Moore represents the citizens of District 91, which includes portions of DeKalb and Rockdale counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 and currently serves on the Creative Arts & Entertainment, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Higher Education committees.
