City Council to consider amendment to Subdivision Ordinance

City Council to consider amendment to Subdivision Ordinance

Published on October 12, 2026

At its Oct. 13 meeting, City Council will review a proposed amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance and determine whether to introduce the ordinance amendment.

The current Subdivision Ordinance contains a different required front setback for buildings on lots along a cul-de-sac than other lots in the City that are not along a cul-de-sac. The proposed amendment would remove the Subdivision Ordinance front setback requirement and default to the front setback requirement in the Zoning Ordinance.

Community members are encouraged to review the staff report and participate in the Oct. 13 City Council meeting.

Following the Oct. 13 meeting, a second reading to adopt the amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance is tentatively scheduled for the Oct. 27 City Council meeting.
