UMSL in motion: Teaching aids

Social media manager Valerie Furlong spoke to Professor Xin Wang about the value of humanoid and quadruped robots and how they're being incorporated into the electrical engineering curriculum.

The University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Engineering is working to expose its students to the latest technology tools in electrical engineering, including robotics. The students have had access to humanoid and quadruped robots in the lab. The robots operate using ROS2, an open-source software development kit and middleware framework designed for building robotics applications. The students have been learning how to program the robots using C++ and Python.
