Firefighters free trapped driver from M7 Motorway crash - Eastern Creek

Published: 11 Aug 2025 04:33pm

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have carefully cut a driver from the wreckage of a multi-vehicle crash on the M7 Motorway at Eastern Creek.

A small car crashed into the rear of a tabletop truck just after 9am and became wedged, trapping the driver.

NSW Ambulance Critical Care Paramedics and a doctor were quickly on scene, treating the motorist.

FRNSW developed a rescue plan in consultation with NSW Ambulance to free the casualty.

To provide better access to the trapped driver and subsequently free them from the wreckage, firefighters jacked up the rear of the truck using hydraulic rams and stabilised the vehicle with timber blocks.

They then winched the wrecked car from under the truck before cutting off its roof and side to free the driver, who was then transported to hospital.
