North Florida Athletics Names Mayo Clinic Official Healthcare Provider

University of North Florida Athletics announced a transformational collaboration with Mayo Clinic to be its Official Healthcare Provider on Monday.

The sponsorship will enhance medical care, resources and health services for North Florida student-athletes, while strengthening the long-standing connection between North Florida and one of the nation's leading healthcare institutions. The collaboration will offer North Florida world-class clinical services and medical coverage for its student-athletes and programs.

Through the sponsorship, North Florida student-athletes will benefit from Mayo Clinic's expertise - ranging from weekly on-site clinics within our North Florida Athletic Training facilities to comprehensive medical coverage at home competitions.

"With Mayo Clinic as the Official Healthcare Provider of North Florida Athletics, our student-athletes and staff will benefit from on-site clinical services and access to Mayo Clinic's sports medicine and orthopedic care," Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Medical Officer Fred Burnett said. Through weekly on-site clinics in the North Florida Athletic Training Facility, comprehensive event coverage for home competitions, and direct access to Mayo Clinic's world-class network for advanced evaluations, diagnostics, and procedures, our student-athletes are supported at every stage of their career."
