The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on May 28, 2025 released its mid-year updates to Spousal impoverishment standards to reflect the updates to the federal poverty level, effective July 1.

These changes will affect only the limits for the community spouse's minimum monthly maintenance needs allowance (MMMNA), which is used to calculate the community spouse's housing and shelter allowance.
