Balfour Beatty JV to Build the 8300 Douglas Mixed Use Development in Preston Center

June 24, 2026

DALLAS - June 24, 2026 - Balfour Beatty, in joint venture with ANDRES Construction, has been selected to construct the 8300 Douglas Avenue development in Dallas' Preston Center area. Once complete, the project will deliver an upgraded mixed-use destination that increases density and enhances the walkability of this highly sought-after neighborhood.

On behalf of RAMROCK Real Estate, LLC, Balfour Beatty and ANDRES will provide construction management services and general contracting to deliver the 8300 Douglas Avenue project.

Designed by HKS, the 8300 Douglas Avenue development will include a 12-story office tower, a 16-story multifamily residential tower, structured parking for both office and residential uses, at-grade retail space and a series of shared and residential amenity decks designed to support a walkable, mixed-use environment in Preston Center. The project integrates multiple uses into a cohesive development that enhances density while contributing to the character of the surrounding neighborhood.

"Mixed-use projects like 8300 Douglas are a key part of our North Texas project portfolio," said Steve Dillon, senior vice president and business unit leader for Balfour Beatty's North Texas operations. "By partnering with ANDRES Construction we're bringing together a team with deep experience, diverse capabilities, shared values and proven track record delivering projects of this magnitude in Dallas. Together, we are uniquely positioned to execute a development of this scale for our client."

Balfour Beatty's unified approach in leading joint ventures reflects a broader delivery strategy focused on pairing like-minded contractors to provide responsible and effective building outcomes for clients and communities. In Dallas, Balfour Beatty and ANDRES Construction are delivering the Knox Street mixed-use development where this partnership is actively at work through close client collaboration and a shared commitment to consistent quality, strengthening both companies' ability to serve Texas clients on projects large and small.

Construction at 8300 Douglas is scheduled to begin this month with completion anticipated in January 2029. At peak activity, the project is expected to support approximately 350 jobsite personnel and engage 60 to 70 subcontractors.
