Quick Response will create a new center lane on SR 42
Beginning Monday, 8/31/26, QR will start a new project in Henry County. Work under this contract will consist of Mill, resurfacing, and restriping the existing passing lane to create a TWLTL (two-way left-turn lane) on SR 42 (MP2.8 - MP 3.30) in Locust Grove, Henry County. The TWLTL is a center lane shared by traffic traveling in both directions, used primarily for left turns from the roadway into driveways, side streets, or other access points.. Lane closures are expected.
They are slated to be complete in late fall of 2026.
