NIFA Awards $7.7M in Agricultural Plant Physiology Grants

USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has awarded $7.7 million to 14 projects as part of the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative's Foundational and Applied Science Agricultural Plant Physiology program area priority (A1152). This program area priority supports improving plant production. Agricultural plant production system improvements require a better understanding of interrelated factors affecting agricultural plants and their nutritional quality, water-and nutrient-use efficiency, and tolerance to stresses. This program supports research that addresses these needs at the molecular, cellular, biochemical, and whole-organism levels.
