School of Public and Population Health event to connect local health organizations with students

The School of Public and Population Health will host its annual Meet and Greet networking event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in the Westmark Student Union Building Simplot Ballroom. This event aims to connect all Boise State students with local healthcare organizations and community health-focused initiatives.

This event will offer students a chance to network with more than 30 health-focused organizations - from clinical practices to community organizations and local non-profits looking to fill internships, volunteer opportunities and job openings.

"The Meet and Greet offers the perfect opportunity to network with local employers and organizations in a casual, stress free environment," said School of Public and Population Health graduate Molly Simpson.

Participating organizations include: St. Luke's Health System, Camp Rainbow Gold, Central District Health, Keystone Hospice, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, Genesis Community Health, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and many more.

"The meet and greet exposed me to several different potential avenues for my future career that I would not have been aware of had I not gone," said SPPH student Lukas Fontes.

This is an opportunity for students to connect with organizations, faculty and their peers, win swag and enjoy free food!

Attendees are encouraged to wear business casual attire and come prepared to introduce themselves to organizations they are interested in connecting with.
