Meet Naoki, Sales Manager for Zygo at AMETEK Japan

How did your AMETEK career begin?

I studied optics at university in Japan. After graduating, I started my career at a trading company specializing in semiconductor-related products and measurement instruments. When I began exploring a new opportunity, I was deeply inspired by Zygo's history, vision, and mission.

I joined Zygo in 2018 as a Sales Account Manager and was actively involved in supporting the transition to a direct sales model in Japan. I helped build the sales framework that has become the foundation of our operations today. In 2025, I began a new chapter as Sales Manager for Zygo's business in Japan, and I continue to grow alongside my team.

What do you find most rewarding about your position?

What I find most rewarding is introducing Zygo's exceptional products to customers in Japan. Zygo operates in a highly specialized market, and that creates exciting opportunities to bring innovative metrology solutions to industries that can truly benefit from them. Every interaction is a chance to demonstrate how our technology simplifies complexity and delivers precision that makes a real difference.

How would you describe working in sales at AMETEK?
